Abstract
Considering the demand characteristics of electric vehicle (EV) charging station, a joint planning method for distribution network and EV charging station is proposed. Taking such factors as environment temperature, users’ behavior and topologic structure of traffic network into account, a demand model of EV charging station is put forward. Further, a joint planning model for EV charging station and distribution network, in which the demand characteristics of EV charging station is taken into account, is established. In this model, the coupling relation between traffic network and distribution network is comprehensively considered, the minimized investment cost, the operating cost and the cost depletion of users’ charging time of the EV charging stations and distribution network are regarded as the optimization objectives which could satisfy the operational and security constraints, and solving this model both optimal allocations and capacities of EV charging stations as well as the reconstruction plan for distribution lines could be obtained. Selecting the traffic network and the distribution network in a certain urban district of Chongqing as the calculation example, the effectiveness of the established method is verified. Simulation results show that the proposed joint planning strategy can meet the charging demand of EV users meanwhile the composite cost is reduced.
