Optimal Coordinated Operation Model Considering Photovoltaic Power and Concentrating Solar Power

  • Along with the fast development of photovoltaic (PV) power generation in China, the intermittency and volatility of fast developed photovoltaic power generation makes the traditional power generation units lying in the condition of depth peak load regulation, and such a condition could be effectively remitted by concentrating solar power (CSP) station. On the basis of the characteristics of PV power generation and concentrating solar power plant, a combined power generation model consisting of PV power generation and CSP generation was established, and the power grid connected with the established model was optimized. Taking the maximized earnings of PV power generation and CSP generation and the maximized capability to follow the load variation as the objectives and the objective function was processed by the method of weighting, thus it could be testified that the optimized model could satisfy main operational constraints of PV power generation and CSP generation as well as the traditional security constraints. Simulation results of IEEE 30-bus system show that the proposed model is effective and feasible.
