Comparative Analysis on Fire Safety Standards for Electromechanical Energy Storage Sectors Home and Abroad

  • Scholars at home and abroad paid much attention to the increasingly mature of electrochemical energy storage sector and the amount of the installed electrochemical energy storage devices increased rapidly all over the world, especially in China. Unfortunately, along with the appearance of the scale effect of electrochemical energy storage devices, various kinds of security accidents frequently occurred home and abroad. Only in the Republic of Korea there were 27 fire disasters occurred in electrochemical energy storage devices, and in United States and China there were fire disasters occurred in similar energy storage facilities, so special attention should be paid to the security of energy storage facilities. Thus, it is necessary to establish a set of complete electrochemical energy storage standard to prevent the frequent occurrence of such kinds of accidents. Through the comparison of the published energy storage standards home and abroad, the solution for the fire safety given in the electrochemical energy storage standards was analyzed, and the suggestions and prospects for existing electrochemical energy storage standards home and abroad were given, and that may provide certain reference for the standard establishment from now on.
