Reactive Voltage Control Strategy for Decentralized Wind Power Generation in Distributed Control Mode

  • Taking decentralized wind power generation as object, a reactive voltage control strategy for decentralized wind power generation under distributed control mode was proposed, in which the selection of control nodes and the calculation and allocation of reactive power were included. Only utilizing local communication network among power generation units the distributed control mode could be realized, and the defects in centralized control mode such as large investment and high requirement could be avoided. Besides, there were better extendibility and robustness in the proposed control strategy. Simulation results show that under the most serious situation, i.e., all nodal voltages are out-of-limit, the system voltage can be efficiently regulated by fully utilizing the reactive power output capability of decentralized wind power generation units, consequently the high-efficient regulation of system voltage can be realized, thus the feasibility of implementing reactive voltage control strategy by decentralized wind power generation under the distributed control mode, which only utilize local communication network, is verified.
