A Voltage Monitoring-Based Realtime Optimized Control Strategy for Distributed Electric Heating

  • In recent years, as a clean heating device the electric heater gradually occupies an important place in the lives of residents. However, grid-connection of lots of electric heaters affects the secure operation of power grid. To mitigate such a contradiction, in allusion to the operation mode of distributed electric heating an equivalent model of electric heating device aggregation was constructed, by which the existing temperature controlling strategy was improved, and a voltage monitoring-based realtime optimized control strategy for distributed electric heating was proposed. Simulation results show that using the proposed strategy the peak value and valley-to-peak difference of the load aggregation can be reduced obviously to achieve the purpose of peak-load shifting and smoothing the load curve to avoid the overload during the winter heating peak, thus the heating demand of the inhabitant is ensured and the affection on the heating of the inhabitant because of the overload due to unordered starting of electric heating devices can be alleviated.
