Power Supply Security Improvement of Power Grid With High Proportion of Renewable Energy Under Extreme Weather Events

  • To estimate the affect of extreme weather on the supply security of power grid with high proportion of new energy effectively and put forward feasible measures to improve the supply security of power grid, firstly, the modeling and simulation of the load characteristic under extreme weather and the output characteristic of new energy were performed. Secondly, the production simulation of the power grid with high proportion of new energy under extreme weather was conducted. Thirdly, the scheme of improving power grid supply security in each link such as power generation, power grid, load and energy storage was proposed. Finally, taking a provincial power grid of a certain province for example, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme was verified. The results of the verification show that the proposed scheme is effective.
