Time Series Production Simulation and Renewable Energy Accommodation Evaluation Considering Energy Storage Operation Mode

  • With the increasing penetration of renewable energy and commercial application of energy storage in power system, the development of energy storage has become the key to building the new-type power system. However, energy storage is still faced with problems such as low efficiency and economic benefits. To this end, the cooperative operation strategy of energy storage in multiple operation modes is established, and the economic benefits are analyzed. Considering the model modification of sequential production simulation brought by the energy storage operation strategy, a renewable energy capacity assessment model considering multiple energy storage operation modes is established. Then, the IEEE 30 bus standard system is utilized to analyze the effect of energy storage on renewable energy consumption under the condition of maximizing economic interests, and verify the effectiveness of the capacity assessment method of renewable energy. Finally, the sensitivity analysis of capacity and power configuration of energy storage is carried out, and a configuration scheme considering both economic and renewable energy consumption indices is constructed. The case study shows that proposed cooperative operation strategy can not only increase the economic benefit energy storage, but also improve the renewable energy consumption capacity.
