Joint Bidding Strategy for Photovoltaic-energy Storage System in Distribution-level Energy-reserve Electricity Market

  • Aiming at the issue of joint bidding for photovoltaic (PV) storage system in day-ahead electric energy and reserve market on the distribution side, a day-ahead bidding and real-time power adjustment method for PV storage system was proposed. Firstly, the PV storage system participates in bidding decisions in the day-ahead electric energy and reserve market with the objective of increasing the day-ahead electricity sales revenue through scheduling the day-ahead charging and discharging operations, while minimizing the day-ahead reserve cost by providing reserve capacity through the energy storage system at the same time. Then, the operational strategy for real-time phase energy storage is proposed. Based on the backup arrangement of the energy storage in the day-ahead phase, the uncertainty of the PV generation is mitigated by the real-time adjustment of the energy storage, resulting in an increase in the overall revenue of the PV storage system. Finally, numerous simulations in IEEE-33 bus distribution system demonstrate that the proposed method effectively enhances the day-ahead bidding revenue and mitigates the real-time deviation penalty for PV storage system, thereby improving the total revenue in the energy reserve joint market.
