Coordinated Control Strategy of Wind Energy Storage Systems Based on Fuzzy Control

  • In a situation of severe energy shortage, the uncertainty in wind power output have a certain impact on the system operation. The reasonable coordination of output ratio in the wind energy storage system can effectively improve the system stability. Consequently, we focus on investigating the coordinated output of air storage system. Firstly, a virtual inertial adaptive control strategy was introduced based on fuzzy control method, taking into account the uncertainty factors of wind speed and frequency change rate. A recovery strategy considering the state of charge of the energy storage system was designed. Subsequently, a weight factor based on frequency deviation was introduced to integrate the sagging output of energy storage system with the virtual inertia output of double-fed induction generation. Finally, a simulation model of the wind energy storage system was built using Matlab, and its performance was verified through the simulation under a step disturbance condition of 0.1pu. The control strategy enables dynamical adjustment of the control strategy can maintain the state of charge in a more reasonable range, and can quickly respond to frequency changes, which is conducive to stabilizing the grid frequency and unit speed. The coordinated control of the wind storage system also improves the primary frequency regulation capability of the wind turbine and prolongs the service life of the energy storage battery, thereby saving the system cost.
