Distribution Network Scheduling Strategy Considering the Division of V2G Mode in Typical Urban Scenarios

  • To address the significant challenges posed by the high penetration of electric vehicles (EVs) and distributed energy resources on the safe and economical operation of urban distribution networks, a dispatching strategy for distribution networks in typical urban scenarios is proposed, considering the vehicle to grid (V2G) mode. Firstly, considering the differences in travel characteristics and real-time travel probabilities in different urban functional areas, vehicle load modeling is conducted based on the analysis of urban residents' travel data, thereby establishing a real-time state information matrix for EVs. Secondly, considering the categorization of different types of EVs in terms of charging and discharging scenarios, various EVs response models for grid integration are proposed. Subsequently, a day-ahead and real-time two-stage economic dispatch strategy, considering distribution network operation costs and power quality, is presented to achieve efficient and reliable operation of the distribution network and to cope with uncertainties in actual operations. Case studies demonstrate that the proposed strategy can reduce operating costs by 12.76% and network losses by 26.38%, and significantly mitigate voltage fluctuations at distribution network nodes under charging load impacts, demonstrating a significant enhancement in the operational efficiency and economy of the distribution network.
