Simulation on GridConnected and Islanded Operation ofMicroturbine Generation System

  • In this paper, a microturbine generation system model is built based on the microturbine and permanent magnet synchronous generator. The doubleloop control mode of ASR and ACR is applied at rectifier side, and PQ and Vf control strategies are used in gridconnected and islanded operation modes of microturbine at inverter side. Then corresponding control system is designed. The two operation modes are simulated by using power system analysis software PSCAD / EMTDC. The simulation results show that the inverter can rapidly track specified reference power to realize PQ decoupling control in gridconnected operation mode, and microturbine can rapidly respond to load power to keep voltage stability in islanded operation mode, which illustrates the model has better load tracking ability that can withstand impact on voltage when load changes.
