Development of Wireless Monitoring Node for Distribution NetworkBased on CC2430

  • In order to study monitoring network to meet the requirement of distribution network development, the hardware design of network node for wireless sensor is realized with CC2430 that integrates ZigBee radio frequency (RF) front end, memory and microcontroller. Its software design is also proposed based on μC/OS II embedded operating system and ZigBee wireless network protocol, which implements such functions as data acquisition & processing and wireless communication. The network nodes of wireless sensor include sensor nodes and sink nodes, which are achieved through the CC2430. Sensor nodes and sink nodes are different during hardware and software designing process as to their different functions. This design has the advantages of low cost, good performance and high reliability to meet requirements of the wireless monitoring for distribution network.
