Experiment Research on Effect of Material Properties on the Discharge Uniformity of 50Hz Dielectric Barrier

  • The research on the effect of material properties on the discharge uniformity of 50Hz dielectric barrier is studied through embedded electrodes by adding nano material to dielectric barrier. The discharge patterns of uniform discharge, filamentous discharge and mixed discharge (coexistence of uniform discharge and filamentary discharge) are used as the basis to determine whether discharge is uniform or not. The experiment results show that unmodified silicone rubber embedded with wire mesh electrode cannot improve the pressure range of the uniform dielectric barrier discharge, but silicone rubber with nano\|fillers can. The effect of thickness of dielectric barrier material on the discharge uniformity is significant .
