Analysis on the Stiffness and Strength of Imitating Bamboo Tower with Stiffening Ring in Wind Power Generation

  • To investigate the relationship among the static strength, stiffness and structure of wind-generator tower, static strength and stiffness of wind power tower structure imitating bamboo is studied. In order to get wind\|generator tower with good mechanical properties, the tower load is enumerated, which is divided into four kinds according to the deformation effect on the tower. The loads on bamboo and the tower are compared and found to be of the same type. Through bionics, the tower stiffening ring of imitating bamboo is analyzed. The bionic tower is simplified to beam. Bionic tower with stiffening ring shows less deflection than ordinary tower. The reduction of deflection is proportional to that of stiffening ring, the increasing stiffening ring and the increasing stiffening ring number. Axial compression, torsion deflection and shear deformation of bionic tower are reduced. The reduction is proportional to proportion of partition on the whole. Analysis shows that strength of bionic tower has no effect on the stress distribution, especially on the size and area of the largest stress value. There is a reasonable quantity of stiffening ring on bionic tower in the engineering fields.
