Economic Loss Assessment of Voltage Sag

From the economic point of view, economic loss assessment of voltage sag is discussed in the paper by analyzing main influencing factors that voltage sag causes economic loss. According to the composition ratio and region of voltage tolerance ability of sensitive loads, voltage tolerance curve (VTC) of integrated sensitive load can be obtained. On this basis, the failure rate matrix of load, voltage sag frequency matrix and the voltage sag economic loss matrix are defined with variables of the remaining voltage amplitude and the sag duration time. In addition, the quality loss function is introduced to evaluate the economic loss of various types of voltage sag, and the economic loss assessment method of voltage sag is built. It can be known from analysis that the method is convenient, fast, and accurate, which can assess the economic loss of voltage sag effectively.
