An Optimal Operation Scheduling Method of Pumped Storage Station Based on Load Curve Quantification

  • In the process of optimal operation of pumped storage station, a method is put forward to calculate the volatility index for load curve of thermal units to improve operation condition of thermal units with the participation of pumped storage station.By taking the minimum quantification value of load curve as objective function, dynamic programming is used to optimized the operation of pumped storage station by considering various constraints.As to Guang dong power grid,the operation of Huizhou pumped storage station is optimized, and results show that the volatility degrees for optimized thermal power units are reduced, and their generating charge rates are improved. In the end, power supply coal consumption is also verified. Results show that the load curve quantification of thermal units has guiding significance for optimal operation and scheduling of pumped storage station.
