Abstract
Unit commitment is of great importance for daily dispatching, mainly for determining the active power output and start-stop state of the unit. The traditional unit combination is hard to solve new problems of scheduling. In the context of efforts to build the smart grid, demand response has become an important interactive resource. In this paper, the characteristics of the power supply side and load side is comprehensively considered, and application range of different demand response is compared. The interruptible load is selected and regarded as a virtual generation resources by integration of unit commitment, and an optimized scheduling model is built. Numerical results show that the model effectively reduces system operation cost and the start and stop frequency of low-inefficient small units. At the same time, consumers also can gain profit, which indicates that unit commitment optimization model by considering of interruptible load is benefit for economic and reliable operation of power system.
