Key Issues and Operation Simulation of the Microgrid Planning

  • Reasonable microgrid planning is the basic for the obtaining of benefit. Such key issues on microgrid planning as the load forecasting, access mode, voltage level and capacity, and grid structure are studied in this paper. By using the electromagnetic transient simulation software EMTDC/PSCAD, microgrid model with distributed generations that include microturbines, wind turbines and photovoltaic cells and its control model are built, and such cases as the power variation, frequency stability and voltage stability after switching operation modes are simulated. Experiments show that the proposed method has certain reference for engineering application.
