The Optimization Configuration of Hybrid Energy Storages in the Distribution Network

  • Single battery energy storage technology is already applied in the distribution network to be used as spare capacity and electric energy-saving investments. In view of the problem of high cost of battery energy storage equipment, the battery-super capacitor hybrid energy storage (HESS) technology is presented in this paper, and the optimized configuration model is built with the objective function of minimizing the average annual cost in total life cycle and with such constraint conditions as the power supply reliability, voltage regulation and the suppressing of large load power impact. Particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve proposed model. And compared to single battery energy storage, HESS hybrid energy storage technology shows its good economic when applying in distribution network.
