Discussion on Design Mode of Relay Protection and Fault Information Management Substation for a New Generation of Smart Substation

  • With the rapid developing of smart grid construction, independent relay protection and fault information management sub station is gradually integrated into monitoring and control system at station control level. In this paper, three common deployment and realization modes of relay protection and fault information management sub station for a new generation of smart substation are proposed based on station level equipment of a new generation of smart substation. At the same time, the realization mechanism and information flow of three deployment and the advantages and disadvantages of each mode are analyzed in detail. In this paper, collaborative work mode of comprehensive application server, data server and data communication gateway are introduced mainly. This collaborative work mode takes full advantage of station level equipment resources in the new generation of smart substation, which realizes the unified storage and management of station control level information, and fully reflects the collaborative work characteristics of integrated monitoring system.
