  • It is hard to detect grounding grid because of buried underground. So radar system is applied to effectively detect grounding grid grounding grid without ground excavation. An image processing issue of radar intelligent detection system for grounding grid is studied in this paper. By considering the targets distribution of grounding grid scene, the sparse characteristics of signals caused by the strong reflection from grounding conductors can effectively data in low-dimension mode based on sparse sampling theory, which improves the efficiency of system detection and data processing. Then by using signal reconstruction method, the 2D contour of target can be obtained and effective 2D images of grounding grid can be output by processing the low dimension data. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of imaging algorithm, and show that the algorithm is able to obtain high resolution output with well computational efficiency. In addition, range side lobes are faithfully suppressed due to the signal reconstruction.
