Analysis and SVC Mitigation of SSR in Series Compensated System

  • For the SSR in transmission system, the complex torque coefficient approach based on time domain simulation is used to analyze the influence of different degrees of series compensation and generator putout on the SSR. A method based on SVC is proposed, and its control measures are introduced. The changes before and affer using SVC are analyzed through time domain simulation. It is verified that for SSR in power system the SVC is available and effective.
