The Operation and Control of Microgrid Based on the Complex Control Strategy of Multiple Inverters

  • According to the shortcomings of the master-slave control of microgrid based on single master power and droop control, the characteristic of frequency modulation of traditional power grid is referenced in this paper, and the operation and control of microgrid is proposed based on the Droop-V/f-P/Q complex control strategy of multiple inverters. This method can take advantage of the frequency characteristic of load, avoid the sources control mode switching between grid-connected mode and islanded mode in most degree, and better achieve the smooth transiting of microgrid between grid-connected mode and islanded mode, which improve the operation reliability of microgrid in islanded mode. Finally, a simulation model for microgrid is developed on the PSCAD/EMTDC software, the correctness and feasibility of control method for the inverters is verified, which provide an effective way for the smooth transition and reliable operation of microgrid.
