Study and Development of Distribution Network GIS Based on J2EE and ArcGIS Server

  • To overcome the shortcomings of the traditional geographic information system (GIS), a browser/server (B/S) architecture automatic mapping/facility management/geographic information system (AM/FM/GIS) is established based on the J2EE lightweight framework and the ArcGIS Server platform. The J2EE lightweight framework based on event driven and the enterprise GIS application development platform ArcGIS Server are introduced. According to the flow characteristics and general requirements of the distribution business, the events and objects are defined. The event driven and object oriented spatial data model is built for the distribution network GIS under the current relational database management system. An actual distribution network AM/FM/GIS system based on the B/S structure is designed under this guiding ideology and architecture. The system's overall running performances show that this system is more advanced and practical.
