Abstract
In the context of energy crisis and global warming, developing a low-carbon electricity system is the target of power industry. And the constructing of new carbon capture power plant (CCPP) or the transforming of existing coal-fired power plant is effective way to achieve this goal. The characteristics of emission reduction and economy for carbon capture system (CCS) are analyzed from the point of view of carbon emission reduction and total cost. In addition, by considering the correlation between construction and operation level among the CCS, generation sources and power grid, a dynamic coordinated planning model of generation and transmission system with CCS is built. Furthermore, the CCS operation state variable is set to reflect its operation flexibility by considering the impact of policy changes and load fluctuation on the operation of the CCS. The mathematical model is a mixed integer linear programming problem, and is realized by the general algebraic modeling software (GAMS). In the end, the CPLEX solver is called to solve the model, and the effectiveness and validity of the proposed model and method are verified by the IEEE30 buses system.
