Optimal Energy Management of Wind-photovoltaic-storage Microgrid System Considering Battery Life

  • With the rapid growth of the proportion of new energy power, wind-photovoltaic (PV)-storage complementary power generation has become an important part of China's power provision. An energy management strategy for the wind-PV-storage microgrid system is presented in this paper. Considering the system operation cost, battery life loss cost and environment cost of purchasing power, an economic dispatch model is built. Taking the minimum comprehensive cost of power generation as the objective, considering the constraints of power output and safety performance, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to generate the parameters of the energy management strategy for optimizing power scheduling. Under different weather conditions, the better optimization effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by comparing its simulation results with that of the conventional strategy. Based on the case data, the influence of the depth and frequency of battery charge and discharge on the battery's life is discussed, and the battery life is longer under the proposed strategy.
