Application of 20kV Medium Voltage Distribution in High Load Densityof Urban Newly developed Areas

For the phenomena that with the society development, the city new developed areas with high load density have emerged, the application of 20kV power distribution in the city new developed areas is discussed. The technical rationality and the supply feasibility of the 20kV voltage level are taken to specific analysis. Several issues needing attention are discussed.The advantages of the 20kV distribution are verified by a practical example.
