Islanded Microgrids Probabilistic Load Flow Calculation Considering the Regulation Dead Zone of Micro-sources

  • Frequency and voltage in islanded microgrids tend to fluctuate due to uncertainties in power supply and load without main grid support. Probabilistic load flow calculation is an effective tool for analyzing the uncertainty of operation state. This paper proposes a probabilistic power flow calculation method for islanded microgrid considering the regulation dead zone of micro-sources. It reflects the influence of the regulation dead zone on the operation state of the microgrid, and the steps to calculate the power flow with the dead zone are proposed. Then the probabilistic power flow of the islanded microgrid is calculated based on the Latin Hypercube Sampling method. The case study shows that the proposed method can reflect the influence of the regulation dead zone of the micro-sources on the power flow. At the same time, it has satisfactory accuracy and calculation speed and can be applied to online analysis.
