Application of Quasi steady state Method in LMP Computation

  • Based on the feature of power system’s dynamic power and frequency, the synchronizing power coefficients are utilized to compute the allocation coefficiens of the generators to share the unbalance power. Through integrating with the quasi steady state method, the generation shift distribution factor GSDF is obtained. The GSDF obtained with this method is independent on the slack reference bus, which also means the congestion component of the locational marginal price doesn’t depend on it any more, so the reasonable fee for congestion can be charged. The result of the simulation calculation of IEEE30 bus system shows the feasibility of this method.
