Operation Optimization of Regional Integrated Energy System with Energy Storage Considering Demand Response

  • An optimization model of the regional integrated energy system with energy storage considering demand response was proposed to improve its economic benefit. Firstly, energy storage, distributed energy, micro gas turbine, gas boiler, regenerator, and load that could be shifted and curtailed in the regional integrated energy system were modeled. Then, the operation optimization model was built with the minimum total operating cost of the system as the objective function. Finally, the model was verified by the case study solved by Cplex. The results show that demand response and energy storage have a positive impact on improving the system economy. Load that could be shifted and curtailed plays a role of peak shifting and valley filling in system scheduling. Demand response can effectively reduce the total operating cost and peak-valley difference of the system. The validity of the model and method is proved.
