Abstract:
The energy saving scheme of high temperature superconducting cable rectifier system is designed according to the loss reducing and energy saving problems in electrolytic aluminum factory. To verify the reliability of this scheme, the model of rectifier system is built by PSCAD/EMTDC, and simulation is carried out by considering start stop operation and fault condition of shunt operation of superconducting cable rectifier units. Results show that all startup (exit) of superconducting cable rectifier equipment have no influence on normal operation of original system, and can exit from distribution system after fault occurs in superconducting cable. Finally, some attentions should be paid according to simulation results when reconstruct system cables.
