Operating Characteristics of VRB Energy Storage and Its Application in Wind Power System

  • 摘要: 风力发电输出功率具有波动性, 使大规模并网风电场影响了电力系统运行的稳定性。为平滑风电输出功率, 提高功率可控性, 在风电场中配以适当容量的储能系统, 可以有效提高并网风电场的电能质量和稳定性。详细分析了新型全钒氧化还原液流电池(简称钒电池, VRB)储能系统的优点和工作特性, 建立了等效电路模型并对其充放电特性进行了仿真分析;说明了钒电池储能在风电场中的应用优势和存在的广阔市场前景;最后介绍了我国钒电池的研究现状。

     

    Abstract: Wind power output has characteristics of fluctuation so that the largescale gridconnected wind farm affects the stability of power system operation. The appropriate capacity energy storage systems used in largescale wind farm not only can smooth power output but also can improve the power controllability, so that power quality and stability can be effectively improved. The advantages and working principle of VRB are analyzed in detail. The equivalent circuit model of VRB is established and chargedischarge characteristics are analyzed by simulation. The advantages and broad market of VRB used in wind power system are illustrated. In the end, the research status of VRB in China is introduced.
